PSCP 2024

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Young men who are in high school — incoming juniors through graduating seniors — are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be 16 years of age or older at the start of the program (April 21, 2024).

  • This year’s application deadline is April 10, 2024.

  • The total cost of tuition is $100. A $25 registration fee (which counts toward the tuition cost) is due at the time of acceptance.

  • In 2024, all four seminars will take place at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Wynnewood, PA.

In future years, the program will take place primarily on the new campus of St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Lower Gwynedd. It will also include excursions in the city of Philadelphia. Participants will reside in private dorm rooms, eat in the seminary refectory, and have access to the seminary gym/common rooms. Daily Mass and prayer will take place in various chapels on campus.

  • Although operated under the aegis of the Vocation Office for the Diocesan Priesthood of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, the PCSP is not primarily a vocations camp. Participants are invited to consider God’s call and have the opportunity to meet several priests, but the goal of the program is not principally to foster vocations. The purpose of the program, rather, is to inspire within participants a deeper, fuller engagement with the Catholic faith.

It may be noted, moreover, that the PCSP is open to, and has been attended by, both Catholics and Protestants.

  • We are committed to the safety and well-being of all participants and will comply with all safe environment norms of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. All faculty and chaperones are mandated reporters and will have completed the Virtus training. Students will be adequately supervised with program staff to accompany them both on campus and during field trips. Chaperones will also oversee the dorms in the evening.

  • For 2024, the program will consist only of four seminars, and these will be closed sessions, open only to the participants, themselves.

In future years, families will be invited to see the seminary and dorms when they drop their sons off on the opening day. They are also welcome to join us for a meal over the weekend, near the mid-point of the program. Lastly, families are encouraged to participate in a closing banquet held on the final day of the program, during which each participant makes a culminating presentation.

Further details about the weekend visit and the closing luncheon will be provided closer to the events.
