Luca D’Anselmi is a Ph.D. candidate in Classics at Bryn Mawr College and Chair of the Department of Humanities at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary. He joined the St Charles faculty in 2016 and teaches numerous courses in Latin and Greek language and literature, including Virgil and Horace, Biblical Greek, and all levels of Latin. Luca’s research focuses on Latin poetry generally, with specific interests in visuality and poetic style, as well as the Renaissance reception of Virgil. A student of classical education himself, Luca is keenly aware of the importance of the profound benefits of an education that opens students to the Great Tradition and engages them in a millenia-old conversation about the true, the good, and the beautiful.
